With SBS, more precisely, the Standard version appears, at this time, to be discontinued:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/server-cloud/windows-server/2012-editions.aspxThe Essentials version continues. The thinking is MS is trying to push SMBs to the cloud. But, there is a significant market that needs on-premise Exchange and/or SharePoint, and for them, SBS Standard is a bargain. MS could change its mind and re-create the Standard bundle for Server 2012. But, if they don't, SBS 2011 Standard is a good product, will apparently be available until late next year, and will be supported for some time.

>>Hi guys,

>>A company I do some work for is migrating their server from Windows 2003 to Windows Small Business Server 2011. My application is a VFP 9 application with a SQL Server 2005 Express backend. I have to migrate my application to the new server and I'm also thinking of going to SQL Server 2008 as well.

>>Thanks.
