The MVC design pattern has been around since the 1970s, so I guess probably. It's an elegant pattern consisting of a GUI, a data layer, and a communications layer. That is a timeless pattern even if it isn't called MVC.
There are some good tutorials online. Don't worry whether they're called MVC 3 or MVC 4.
