We have an agreement with MS (I can't remember what was it's name), buying SQL SERVER with a discount. License just valid when customer use this SQL SERVER with just our bundled application. We usually prefere cpu based license.
SQL SERVER install is so so easy and fast, not like ORACLE.
I think so prices would be different in USA.
