Speculating??? My experience shows I'm not at all speculating. As I said I have 2, and they are VERY secure..

This is probably just more of they typical after-shooting gun control garbage. Some kid tragically died, and they want to blame someone.

Again, if you pull on the handle, and it opens, IT'S NOT LOCKED. Seems simple & logical to me.
