Let me rush to the back of the line! ;-)
Metro looks intriguing in some ways but I am not ready to embrace it this soon. It still seems more suited to mobile devices than desktops and mainstream web apps, which are where I am staying for the moment.
>You can run VS2012 on Win7, but you can't do Metro development. To do Metro development you need both VS2012 and Win8.

>Yes, you can load mulitple versions of VS on Win8.

>>Hi Craig. Many thanks for that.
>>So my develoment machine will need to be upgraded ??
>>i.e. I cant LOAD Vis Studio 2012 onto a Pre Windows 8 machine ?
>>If I do upgrade to windows 8, will I still be able to develop using Vis studio 2010 or lower,(and have multiple Versions of Vis studio on same machine)
>>For instance, Vis Studio stopped supporting Windows Mobile (i.e. 5.0, 6.5 mobile etc) from VS 2010 on
