Just remember that there is a significant difference between SSIS in 2005 an 2008 - the former uses VBA the later uses the .NET engine so you can write C#. I really recomment getting the 2008 version. A big step up ( ( I have been forced to use 2005 in a project lately and really don't like it.)
For all things SSIS I have found Kevin Goff's stuff invaluable. Go to his blog and go the code-magazine.com to read all the great stuff in his Baker's Dozen column on SSIS
One other thing - don't install BIS 2005 until you are SURE you are not going with SSIS 2008 - they do not play well together on the same box
