>>>Agreed -- geezer alert. I am surprised anyone would put The Who (what's left of them) on TV ever again after their atrocious Super Bowl halftime act.

>Have you watched any of the BMX? That is a pretty wild event, sort of a cross between cycling sprints and rollerball.

Have not watch much olympics at all - US-Turkey women's volleyball (and will catch US Brazil today ) , Pastorius, and bits and pieces of other stuff.

But BMX sounds like fun. i will see if I can catch some on replays or internet

And yeah that was the Townshend line I was thinking of - that and the concept of "my generation" ) Fortunately Mick can still go out and score one for the geezers. His comic turn on SNL on the season finale was classic.

If you ended up getting HBO and have access to HBOGO on the web definitely catch up with The Newsroom. Trust me you'll love it.

Charles Hankey

- Thomas Hardy

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

-- T. S. Eliot
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
- Ben Franklin

Pardon him, Theodotus. He is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature.
