More or less, that's why I only use it for synchronization because the accuracy can be verified. And, for what it's worth, in practice I am only copying a files from one format to another, no indices involved at all. My gut feeling has always told me that would be really asking for problems. I'm happy if I can just get the files transferred accurately, I have low expectations.
