>I was going to use the OLE object for Rich Text so I could use formatting such as bold on certain words. I want to add my objects to a scrollable container as I go on the fly. I do not want borders so I marked borderstyle to 0 (None). I set Appearance to 0 (Flat) and I get an error because the object will not allow me to set that property at runtime.

Kevin,

Try to create class based on RTF control, and set its default appearance to 0. Then you will be able to add it to your form dynamically.

Good Luck
