Yes it gets quite complex and then there is the question is a capital gain really even income that should be taxed to begin with?

>The guy is paying 14% tax on capital gains from investments that he is making from money that came from earnings that he already paid 35% on. Capital gains is used to encourage investments in business to help create more jobs. Also, if you buy stock from a company that pays dividends then the dividends are taxed at a lessor rate (until the end of the year) because the company has already paid corporate income tax on the dividends paid.

>>>Think if you give the rich business owner a free ride on taxes that it's going to "trickle down" because he'll give his profits to his employees? hahahahaha that is just not the case in the real world. Trying to claim my goal is some envy based attempt at "punishing" success means you've run out of realistic things to say.

>>>Everything you post does make it sound like you would like to punish every successful individual and believe that allowing a successful person to keep what he or she has earned is taking something away from you. Claiming that you don't just means that you have run out of realistic things to say and is lame lame lame.

>>>What makes you think that you are entitled to then fruits of anyone else's labor?
>>>The problem is socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money...

>>What makes YOU think that I should pay 35% tax and the guy that makes 1000 times as much as me pays 14%? Where is this magical entitlement I'm getting in this formula? How is me paying more making less turn into me getting fruits of someone else's labor? How is me asking someone else to do what I have to do "punishing" them? I'm confused on how you think this has merit.
