I asked alot of people what book to get to learn MVC. Pro ASP.Net from APress was recommended more than any other. I do not recommend Pro ASP.Net from Wrox. It assumes that you already understand alot of what you're doing. I recently picked up MVC 4 in Action from Manning. It's not a good learning book, but helps with the depth once you have the basics.
>I do not have this book so am not in a position to disagree with Craig. You might want to check out the buyer reviews on Amazon, though, for the MVC 3 edition. (The MVC 4 version comes out in December).
