>A while ago I was searching for information on reading in Acord AL3 files. These are used in the insurance industry. I was unable to locate any tool already in place that was not cost prohibitive. I have since created my own tool that uncompresses the Acord file and reads it into tables and displays all transactions, groups, and coverages in a treeview (thanks to a few fellow UTers' help!) If anyone in the insurance industry has need of such a tool, let me know and I will gladly share it.

Tracy,

I need to do exactly what you describe here in Microsoft Access. Do you have any information that will help me decipher the 6 digit codes? Also, what logic did you use to determine where the 6 digit codes were. There doesn't seem to be a CRLF before the codes. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
