>??!! Nobody says you have to be greedy and invest in returns that are too good to be true. Certainly I agree that selling shares is better than borrowing at high interest for many companies, which is what has happened in Australia after taxpayers started creating large pools of equity to pay for their predictable future needs, and for those of future generations. Had the US started doing the same at the same time as Australia, there would be hundreds of trillions of dollars of invest-able public wealth today and no possibility of a recession. Instead the 1% has absorbed or lost most of that $ leaving underclass conditions ripe for revolution and a middle class grimly clinging onto prosperity that was assured for the previous generation.

Was it maybe that prosperity of previous generation was simple political illusion ? Smart (or forced?) 'give-away' by super-rich to prevent revolutions spreading from east to the west during cold war times? Large amounts of money were simply given to the people through suddenly large salaries back in 60ies. (Which is not actually bad action plan at all)
Back then you graduate from high school or college, get any job and you easily get into big house, bunch of cars and don't have to worry about anything any more. Remember Nixon showing Nikita Hruschov (but foremost to working class of America!) an American show home full of nice white appliances ? As to prove clear superiority of Capitalist system vs all the horrors of USSR!

People graduate and get jobs today as well, but somehow they do not get the same windfall of goodies as their parents. How come ?
While most elders (those good old republicans) will simply claim: 'We worked much harder back then!' or 'We were frugal and responsible with money!' 'We fought wars!' and so for... (whereas their children became somehow useless left wing loonies! {g} )
All of them believe that they hard-earned all their money 100%. Whereas truth might be little bit different; Maybe they were just given much more money for roughly the same effort?

I think Obama could do great service to working class of America (those who voted for him last time) if it simply paid TV adds and banners of some angry farmers carrying pitchforks to be displayed on TV and streets. Imagine if those large led displays on Wall Street were showing pitchfork-full pictures with indicative under text; 'We are coming... !!! ' {g} )

It just might help those 'investments' circulate much better & those freshly printed bucks 'trickle down' the economy much much faster ;)
