That is actually pretty close to what I had for breakfast. During the summer months I like a smoothie. Start with either orange or apple juice poured into a blender, add yogurt and wheat germ, then bananas and berries. Bon appetit!

Still, I am thinking craven man thoughts of a great steak. My daughter is visiting this weekend and I think I may treat her.

PS -- I love the phrase "with au jus" ;-)

>Well, CFS IS a steak (either flank or round) that's been beaten into submission and then battered.

>>Now you've done it. I ate a very healthy dinner, salad and some yogurt, and now you have me fantasizing about Texas style chicken fried steak. Which I realize is neither steak nor uncovered but you get my point.

>>Jello, that's it. I'm going to grab some Jello. There is some lime in the fridge, cooing my name. 10 calories per ton.

>>>Damn those stealth vegans! What a way to ruin dinner.

>>>I'm one of those meat eaters that likes to taste the meat, thankyouverymuch. My husband always gets a chuckle out of the wait-person asking me which steak sauce I want and my reply is always "Why? Is there something wrong with the meat?", so the biggest thing I find off-putting is the whole "MUST have something covering the steak completely" trend I'm seeing in restaurant advertisements. No, really, if I want smothered steak, I wouldn't be spending the money on good meat, and if you're not gonna serve me good meat, I'll eat at home - I've got a GREAT grill and I know how to use it.

To my disgust the "Steak" WAS the portobello mushroom!! It was a vegetarian platter. of course after I finished it I asked for a proper 12oz New York Steak! Nowadays we go from time to time to a different chain "Montanas" where they have a "Portobello Mushroom Steak" which I almost always ask for, for it is the way it should be, a steak WITH portobello mushroom!
