I have a button on a form that performs a few simple tasks specific to the form and then is supposed to complete the process by executing the code it inherited. When the button is clicked, it does everything except the DoDefault(), it simply ignores it. As you expected to hear, this button has worked fine for many years and works fine on other forms.

For the second question - are you sure you don't have a return before calling dodefault() ? Also, do you see button's code if you view parent's code?
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
