This is something I will have to recheck with 2012. Two years ago, when the Web Service was added as a Service, there was no possibility to change its URL from the code once added into the project. So, this is why I always add any reference to a Web Service as a Web reference.

I believe so. I haven't looked at the project so far. I only tested the EXE I received last night. But, it is about using the SSLStream class to establish a TCP tunnel under a X509 certificate which exists at the server level, plus the root, as well as one in the directory of the application at the client site where the Windows Service is being executed.
