>I'm curious about the general consensus regarding formsets. I am under the impression that they are basically a backwards-compatible version of the old screen sets (pre-visual days). Is there ANY advantage to using formsets? I usually just make forms modeless if I want to use concurrently with each other.

Here's my .02...
I think there's not a great deal of use for them any longer. My evolution from 2.x till now is disliking them, then liking them, to not liking them much again :) I think there is really nothing in vfp5/6 where a formset is of extreme value. I have legacy formsets in apps, and in a few cases where forms share many tables, are side by side on screen, and communicate constantly, a formset can be at least a slight benefit at both run and design time...other than that, I wouldn't recommend them, and might never use one again in a new app.
