I don't understand the complaints about "no start menu" I spend almost all my time on the desktop and don't miss old start menu at all.

http://www.pcworld.com/article/261980/give_windows_8_the_start_menu_it_deserves.html ...I haven't tried any of them yet but of course anytime you start plopping 3rd part software on your PC to do things like that you're really asking for problems.
