I've seen that happen before. What causes it is if you're on the property sheet, and have the rowsouce property selected - when you move off of it, you loose all the column settings. Now this always happens if you CHANGE the rowsource property - but I've seen it happen just by having it selected in the property sheet, then moving off it.
