>This wiki holds information related to the Visual FreePro (VFrP) liberty software project, written by Rick C. Hodgin (see also Contributors). Released under a Repeat License (called Public Benefit License, or PBL) issued by the Liberty Software Foundation (LIBSF), users receive rights to use and distribute the software.
>VFrP (pronounced vee-ferp) intends to be a highly compatible liberty software replacement for a now defunct popular database management toolset of a similar name. It will offer compatibility with a DOS-based multi-user 2.1 version, along with a gui-based 2.6 version, as well as visual versions 3, 6 and 9.
Rick was in the Tek-Tips VFP forum recently, talking about this. There's some information there.
My take from his messages was that what he's interested in replicating wasn't at all the parts of VFP that matter to me, but I don't remember the particulars.
