>No, the server doesn't matter. The ODBC driver does. I can use a 32 bit ODBC driver to connect to a 64 bit version of SQL Server.
That is not what I mean. If you use functions like OPENROWSET() to use ODBC or OLEDB within SQL server (whether store procedures or dynamic SQL), it will fail with the 64 bit version.
