When Denver hired John Fox in January, 2011, I said it was a bad hire. Granted, he's still replacing some people brought in by Josh McDaniels, but they have issues on both sides of the ball. Perhaps they should play every series like it's late in the fourth quarter and they're behind.

Steelers losing to both Denver and Oakland stands out to me.

Houston looks very good.

Clay Mathews? Good player, but needs a haircut. IMO, the rule should be your hair can't go below the bottom of the helmet. I really do miss the days of the Tom Landry suit and tie. They keep talking about these guys being professionals, but people like Mathews and Belichick sure don't look it.

>Bears win, Bears win. No big deal beating the Lambs at home. And Jay Cutler looked bad again. I really don't see this team going anywhere.

>Arizona 3-0. That sort of jumps off the scoreboard at you.

>Saints 0-3. Maybe that shouldn't be a surprise after their offseason shenanigans but it still comes as a surprise.

>Ravens take down the Pats in a wild one. I may be from New England but I love it when they lose. I can't stand Bill Belichick.

>Peyton Manning is not going to be enough to rescue the Broncos, who are still a rotten team.

>Packers at Seahawks tonight. Aaron Rodgers is the marquee player, and deservedly so, but the guy you can't take your eyes off is Clay Matthews. (Fabio, as my ex-GF in Wisconsin calls him). He has six sacks in two games and blows up the offensive line most of the rest of the time. He gives offensive coordinators sleepless weeks. It's always fun watching someone that good at what they do.
