FoxPro 2.6 DOS, Win98 and Novell Printer Problem
I have a large factory production system written in FoxPro 2.6 DOS running from a Novell 3.12 file server. Currently all of the workstations are running Win95 with the older Client32. Our new workstations are coming in with Win98 and the new version of Client32 which will not recognize the Novell capture statements correctly.
I have a custom program which allows the user to pick a printer from a list, then the program runs a combination of the RUN Capture command with the form number and copies built in, and the Set Printer to \\spooler command. This works great under the older Client32.
The new version of Client32 required for Win98 will not execute the capture statements properly. I can get the report to go to the correct print que using the "Set Printer to \\Spooler\NB\F=1\C=1\Q=queuename" command, but this statement fails to suppress the banner, request the form be mounted on the printer and prints only the default number of copies.
This system is in the process of conversion to VFP but will be at least 1 year until finished. I have a constant need to add workstations and all users must have access to the DOS system reports.
Has anyone encountered a similar problem? Would you be willing to share your resolution with me?
Thank you. Pamela Bulmahn.
