>I think VFP is an Excellent Choice to Develop a WEB Application. The Speed & Felxibility is the main reason VFP is Superior to Visual Interdev. VI is too rigid and a nightmare to debug. I developed a Web Site for a large Book Store (http://www.collinsbooks.com.au) Chain using VFP with West Wind Web Connection. This site has over 1 Million Books to search on. I beat the competition who were using VI and SQL 6.5 because of Speed & Flexibility.

Hmm.. perhaps you haven't worked with 6.0...

Howerver, VI is not a 'language' that you develop web aps in, it is a tool you use to build web applications. VI allows you to bring many components togther to create a web page. In VI you can build an ASP page, that calls a VFP Object... or, you can use a DataObject to connect to a SQL database... etc.

Also, VI allows for CLient AND server side debugging... it not only will debug your script code, it will jump into the component's code as well.

VI is very powerful, but it is just a TOOL... almost like and editor is... You can use VFP and VI to put togther web aps.
