We recently added a "last modified" field to all of our tables in our database for time-stamping purposes in case we need to resynchronize data records as of a certain point in time. What we would like to do is populate this field with DATETIME() whenever the corresponding record gets updated. These tables already have an update trigger defined.
Is there a way to accomplish this that doesn't result in illegal recursion within the trigger?
