The problem is this is a "top heavy" organization with thousands of employees. The schedules of who and when hardware is going to be implemented verse costs etc. are made at a level I've never even attained. Remember, this project began because they were mandated to have NT compatible software to begin with.

so tell them that 2.6 and nt don't play well together (well, not as well as vfp and nt) i know that the people you can reach have no control over it, but if they really want to burn their money, just give them my address and tell them to send it my way...

seriously, if they're that hard to work with, you have two options:

1. do only the pieces that they can't live without until the hardware is upgraded (3.0 project is done already, right?)
2. get another job.
