Is there a simple approach of debugging a stored procedure? When I am running an ASP.NET app I want to see if certain IF conditions were met and the code after the IF was executed. One simple way I am thinking is if I can create some kind of token or semaphore file that I can look at (after the procedure) is done? How do you do it?>

http://www.c-sharpcorner.com/uploadfile/e1317f/steps-to-debug-a-stored-procedure-of-sql-server-2008-using-visual-studio-2010/Thank you. I will ready and learn what the article says. But in my case I need to "debug" not from VS but running in production. This is why I thought that creating some "crumbs" files would be possible.
