Ouch... it's been 13 years since we did something like that, with then WinFax (which came with the modem). We did it from Word, but it was sort of automated - and I vaguely recollect that it was possible to send the phone number as a parameter when printing to fax.

Basically, the fax driver behaves as a printer driver, so you print to it. You'd have to see with the manual of the driver or whichever utility you got - how do you pass the fax number to it. Then you click print :).
