Hi Thomas.
Some people in our company thought the CodeBase were a DBF with steroids and that native DBF tables could be replaced and yet still continue using the VFP's native commands, but they are completely wrong.
Here is the answer that I receveid from CodeBase support:

"There are 2 ways to use the functionality of CodeBase from VFP.
One way is to use the CodeBase ODBC driver.
The other way is to use the CodeBase API and call the functions in the CodeBase DLL. You would have to write a DECLARE - DLL statement for each CodeBase function that you want to call in your application.
Using the API would require more work because you have to write the DECLARE statements, but the product performs faster than the ODBC driver.
I don't think it's possible to use CodeBase by with the USE command."

So, mission aborted. ; )
