But AFAIK you can let them stay the way they are and use them with Advantage -
From german vfp conference talks I got the impression that since version 10 they support
even the previously missing BINARY index - AFAIK has Hank tested the Advantage drivers in more depth.
Their C/S server can also use the vfp-compatible dbfs.
Some advanced things need an advantage-type dbc triplet of files (file > 2GB) AFAIIR,
but that was the most painless C/S update way I remembered, Fair warning: I only played for 2H with their
local server, which is an ODBC embedded server much like VFP, but supporting feautres > vfp6.

So if you aim for C/S you PERHAPS don't need to change the files - but accessing a C/S still needs RV, CA or SQL,
but you CAN access the server based files in parallell via Vfp and use seek or record based logic if that is needed
in some special routines. Any critic will blast such architecture as a mess (and be half right, but it cost less to change ....)
