This campaign is swinging back and forth more than any I remember. I can tell you the Obama campaign in this part of the country is very concerned. Being the bleeding heart liberal I am, I offered to help out and have been making some phone bank calls to undecided registered voters. Calling people up and asking them for things is not my favorite pastime but for me it is a good cause and I can stand it. As I think we all know, most people do not enjoy receiving unsolicited phone calls. We are not high pressure; we just say we would like your vote. I think it is mainly a get out the vote thing. A lot of people are disgusted with the whole process and have been saying they plan to sit this one out. My group was targeting Iowa, the Dubuque area. In just the past week that emphasis has been shifted to southeastern Wisconsin (Kenosha, Racine, Milwaukee). About 8 states are going to decide this election and they are two of them. No high pressure or lengthy calls. I just tell them there are real differences between the candidates and that if you agree, please vote.

>I've seen some political u-turns in my life, but what's been happening this past week is eye-popping.

>Andrew Sullivan is in full panic:
>Seriously: has that kind of swing ever happened this late in a campaign? Has any candidate lost 18 points among women voters in one night ever? And we are told that when Obama left the stage that night, he was feeling good. That's terrifying. On every single issue, Obama has instantly plummeted into near-oblivion.
