Thanks for kicking in here. I *just now* found the solution: I have to send the following line before printing any text:

??? " "

This opens the printer in raw mode and the problem disappears.

>You may want to look at the paper size selection for your generic print driver (under Windows / Settings / Printers). There are papersize options and US SF is wide, about 14 inches. Maybe this will allow wider printing when you select this printer from VFP.
