Sorry but the guy that said .NET is dead sounds like an idiot. That's not what the Microsoft guy said in his article AT ALL....
Silverlight and those associated technologies may be dead. Maybe even desktop software apps. But C# on the server is thriving with MVC and HTML and JavaScript will take on far more significance on the client.
