There's the regular trouble with the scheduler, when the password of the account under which a scheduled task runs expires. I don't think it even merits a mention in the event log, it just silently stops running. Of course, the solution is simple - have it run under an account with a permanent password. But you wouldn't believe how many times I had to explain that to various people (and in many cases, several times to the same people) among the customers' IT departments.
