Aggies went into San Jose State today. It was a game I was worried about. The Spartans were on a four game win streak, their only loss on the season was three points in the opener against Stanford. The Aggies totally controlled this game, winning 49-27. Coming into the game, they had 14 sacks all season, but got a school record 13 sacks today. The NCAA record is 15 sacks per game. Aggies now tied for 4th place. The Spartans QB spent more time on his back than his feet. It was a great win for Big Blue.
The one downside for USU was their defense gave up a lot of big plays. No doubt Gary Anderson will talk about this. Other than that, they looked pretty good. The penalty issues they had early in the season seem gone. But their field goal kicker is still an unknown. He's been pretty bad this season, missing the game winner at Wisconsin and didn't look good last week at BYU.
So, the Aggies are 5-2, those two loses by a combined 5 points.
