>>>I am looking at the code from sweetpotatosoftware. By description it should be very useful. If you have not used the product, feel free to ignore my message (maybe then I will start a new thread). So here is where I need help:
>>>
>>>When I start the sample program I get a window "Select Data Source" where I have to enter DSN Name. Then on the top of this field there is a choice to Look in (where it defaults to My Documents). Obviously there is nothing in My Documents that has anything to do with DSN Name. My question is, which folder on my computer should I be looking into? And/or what DSN name should I enter?

>>I implemented this program and my colleagues also had the same problem. You need to have Access driver installed, I'm trying to find more info right now.

>Ideally I would like to create a little utility with a nice GUI interface where on the left I would have a list of fields in a .DBF and on the right the column letter/number in Excel from which to import. Then specify the range of rows (e.g. 2-200) and all the data from the excel columns is copied to the VFP cursor. Someone must have created such a GUI utility; maybe.

My colleague just re-sent me the message I sent him before (and could not find in my e-mails):

---------------
I’ve been able to solve this problem. See Paul Clemens reply in this thread http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/adodotnetdataproviders/thread/d5b29496-d6a1-4ecf-b1a4-5550d80b84b6

Go to http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=13255 If you have Office 2010 64 bit you can download both links. First installs OleDB 64 bit. The second needs to be run with the /passive mode using command line and it installs OleDB 32 bit for office 2010.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
