Why say goodbye to comboboxes? I developed a POS - that's point of sale and not piece of $hi+, but one could argue the latter :) touchscreen application. It was designed for a 1024x768 resolution and I simply bumped up the controls size for fat fingers. It worked fine.

As for OSK, I wrote my own. It was a simple keyboard for alpha numeric input only. I didn't have function keys, arrow keys, home, end, etc. (that's what the "touch" in touch screens is for).
