Great game Saturday for USU. It was a near perfect first half. No picks, no fumbles, no penalties, and a 35-0 lead. The second team played a good part of the second half and the Aggies were only able to muster a field goal, but went on to win. They narrowly missed an field goal late that would have given them 41 points (it bounced off the cross bar on the goal post). If it would have been good, the Aggies would have 4 consecutive 40+ point games for the first time ever. But, I'll take the win over the record.

USU is now 8-2. The last time that happened was 1974 and are getting votes in both the AP and Coaches polls, and are in first place in the WAC. They have a bye this week, then travel to Louisiana Tech, in a game that will determine the conference champion. However, it looks like USU will be heading to the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl on the smurf turf of Boise. I'll have to check the black and white setting of my TV for that one.
