>>>don't you think that maybe the big picture has changed in the US.
>>>
>>>Its like a poor team complaining after losing because of one refereeing decision. If the Republicans want to bounce back they're going to have to ditch some of the crazies and reclaim the middle ground.
>>
>>
>>The Republicans do not want the middle ground, they demand it all! No one else should have a voice.
>>
>>Until a few years ago Democrats and Republicans worked together. Then the Evangelical influence took over the Republican Party, and the two parties had difficulty on many issues. Next we see the Tea Party influencing the Republican Party. Each time these influences became more and more right winged. Now we should have the Skin Heads, Neo Nazis, and Survivalists take over the Republican Party.
>>
>>The Republican Party seems to think that the more right wing they are the more American they become. The parties should represent the people and not the interests of a few extremists who are in charge. The Republicans are enraptured and held captive by Grover Norquist, and blind to reality.
>>
>>I would really like to see the two parties work together and if we are to succeed, it would be best if they do. We cannot have one party dictate to the nation.

>The Republicans started losing their collective mind when Reagan wed us to the Moral Majority. The last 30 years have just been a steady spiral out to the extremes. Hopefully, this election might get more of them thinking that perhaps they might want to pay more attention to people who are not part of their rarified segment of society.

Or that the difference between Republicans and Democrats is that Democrats sign their checks on the back....and unfortunately i'm not part of that growing non-rarified segment of society that has 5 generations of welfare handouts and free Obama phones...
