More seriously, there may be an errant strain in the software brain. Phil Katz, whose PKZIP launched an ongoing slew of imitators -- WinZip alone is up to version 17 -- was a seriously disturbed person. He died at the age of 38 of alcohol poisoning or possibly suicide. Sad.
