>Oddly enough, I have a couple online apps I am required to use sometimes, and they both require either IE or Firefox. Very annoying, but have no choice.

I once opened an account here in a quasi-foreign bank, actually just a franchise, and their website (just like most of the banks here), works with IE only, because it relies on some ActiveX to run validation. And even for that, it requires about 16 special settings, and in the end it doesn't work.

The worst part of it was when I asked the clerk "why, but why IE?", and she said "we were told that's because it's the only safe one".

Someone sold them a bill of goods.
