Could be that Global Warming has caused the Island to be summered and is no longer visible.

Now as far as the chicken and egg goes, I have my own thoughts on that subject.

Imagine God saying: "LET THERE BE A CHICKEN AND LET IT LAY AN EGG"! Now I can understand that. Sorry, but God was shouting. This was definitely an Old Testament God.

But supose that God said: "LET THERE BE AN EGG"

So God said "Let there be an egg", and then what happened? Nothing. No further instructions were given. Had this happened we would be without eggs and chickens! :)
