Full ACK that using 64 bit OS with under 4 GB is unwise (to be PC...)
but for "consumer" usage as described it is decidedly workable with 4 Gig - less stuff cached,
but so what. IMO either 4 or 8 GB, as adding smaller capacity sticks is wasteful ;-)
Using Office 2K or XP will enhance load speed more than other stuff...
