I still don't know of anyone who printed to a Zebra without trouble.

I did that in, I think, 2005, and I was using a template developed in Excel or Word, which printed fine and had all the predefined stuff - pagesize etc. I'd just fill in the values and issued a print command via automation. Even so, we had trouble - it would work from one machine but not from the other. Despite the identical version of Windows, they just behaved differently, and the driver which would work on one would eject blank labels on the other, or the next driver would do nothing on one and print fine sometimes on the other. I didn't even care to remember how it ended - maybe it didn't :).
