A few I remember:
There are 10 kinds of people in the world: those who understand binary, and those who don't.
C isn't that hard: void (*(*f[])())() defines f as an array of unspecified size, of pointers to functions that return pointers to functions that return void.
The "Top 10 List" of things I hate most about C:
#9 ...
There's no place like 127.0.0.1.
c:\dos>
c:\dos\run>run dos_run
Roses are #ff0000, violets are #0000ff...
The instructions said "Requires Windows XP or better," so I installed Linux.
Linux, DOS and Windows...the good, the bad and the ugly!
In certain debuggers memory variables are set to the value 0xbaadf00d before they're initialized.
I actually got this message one day: "Warning: Your hard disk space is low. Only 1.5 GB remaining." I immediately hearkened back in my distant memory to the late 80s and my 20MB twin ribbon cable MFM/RLL hard drives that were notably faster than the 180KB single-sided 5.25" floppy drive. And today, a mere 25 years later, my SD cards transfer more data than 20MB per second, and write at around 5MB/s. And things have changed to where my computer warns of impending doom me when my hard disk space is down to 75x the maximum space I had available to me in 1987.
"Oh the times, they are a changin..."
:-)
