The Supreme court has recently taken up 2 separate cases regarding gay marriage. One challenging the federal Defense of Marriage Act and one challenging the 9th Circuit's striking down California's Prop 8 which banned gay marriage in California.

I have stated before that I believe the country is moving towards acceptance of gay marriage at a very rapid pace as George Will summed up nicely this weekend http://www.upi.com/blog/2012/12/10/George-Will-Quite-literally-opposition-to-gay-marriage-is-dying/9461355150425/?spt=mps&or=3

At the same time I despise the "movement's" tactics of going to court every time something doesn't go their way. The goal should be to win hearts and minds thus you change the culture. Going to court polorizes people when decisions are rendered which overrule the will of the people.

This article makes sense and makes my case.

Of course it will not surprise me in the least if the Supreme's go exactly the opposite or if they make up a new law out of thin air. ;)

I know you're all stunned that I agree with something written in the Journal. ;)

Un jour sans vin est comme un jour sans soleil - Louis Pasteur
Water separates the people of the world; wine unites them - anonymous
