The people said the install proceeded flawlessly but when complete, SQL Server was nowhere to be found. Microsoft does say that SQL 2005 is not certified for use with Windows 7 and beyond.

I installed SQL 2005 on my Windows 7 64-bit OS about 3.5 years ago; right after I bought this laptop. I wish I could give you details of what I have done different than others. I can't remember anything special that it took. Sorry I can't be any more helpful.
