The way I use it is I look at its suggestions if it flags something automatically as I'm composing. I find it gives a lot of false positives/"errors", which I attribute to idioms, colloquialisms, Canadian vs. American dialect etc. I'd say maybe 5% of the time it "has a point", in which case I'll either accept its suggestion or manually "refactor".

But, if it doesn't flag something then it's usually acceptable, so you could use it that way. IOW, if you're not sure which of several possibilities is correct, try them and see which one doesn't get flagged.
