Toledo got mashed at the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. Utah State broke open the fourth quarter and won 41-15. It's was close up until just over 7:00 minutes left in the game. That's when Aggie running back Kerwynn Williams broke open the game with 198 yards and three touchdowns in less than four minutes. The Aggies finished with 577 yards of total offense, 350 coming on the ground, where they averaged an astonishing 12.1 yards per carry. Toledo did not score an offensive TD (only field goals and a kick return for a touchdown). Utah State is the only team in the country to not allow a first quarter touchdown all season. The game gives the Aggies their second bowl victory ever, best record in school history, and a great season to remember.
The Aggies will finished ranked the season ranked for the first time since the Merlin Olsen years (1961) and there is a lot of talk of them being ranked in the preseason polls for next year.
