>One of our programmers is in the process of taking a Visual FoxPro 3.0 application and bringing it up to Visual FoxPro 5.0. Before they receive approval to do so, however, his (and my) boss wants something from Microsoft which states that VFP 3.0 data will transfer smoothly to VFP 5.0.

Is there a web site (probably off of www.microsoft.com/vfoxpro) that states this? A knowledge base article, on-line help screen, or printed document would also be acceptable.

The data doesn't need to be converted. VFP 5.0/6.0 can read/write VFP 3.0 and even 2.x data just fine...without conversion. There will be a conversion of the DBF & DBC files if you modify the table. There are no problems with this conversion.
